Dress
Code:
Dressing out plays a direct role in each
student’s grade in physical education classes.  Each student is expected to dress out
every day.  Appropriate dress for
class includes shorts or sweat pants, t-shirts with appropriate or no writing,
and tennis shoes that are safe and comfortable for the student to wear during
  physical activity.  Alternate
assignments will be given for students that do not dress out.
Multiple instances of failing to dress out can and will result in
disciplinary actions.

Behavior/Consequences: Student behavior in Physical Education classes is an important
issue.  Safety is our
1st priority.
As a result, it is essential that every student
adhere to gym rules and regulations at all times.

Consequences for noncompliant behavior may
include but not limited to the
following:

Verbal warning, conditioning, absence from
activities (sitting out), &
referrals.

Attendance
and Tardy policy:
Attendance is mandatory every day. Students must be on time to class in
order to have enough time to dress out and be ready for the class to begin.
GHS tardy policy will be enforced
on a daily basis (refer to student handbook). Students who attend all classes have an
opportunity to exempt the final exam given at the end of the
quarter.

Grading  Policy: Students will be graded in alliance with
the student handbook grading policy. Tests: 50%  Class work: 35%
Exams: 15%.

Lockers: Lockers are available to all physical
education students during their respective classes.
Lockers are strongly recommended for the safety and security of personal
belongings.  Students must provide
their own lock and remove the lock when class is over.
Teachers reserve the right to search any
locker.
